14% Heifer Cake MGA-0.20 is a medicated range feed containing 0.20 grams/ton of Melengestrol Acetate (MGA). It is used to suppress estrus (heat) in heifers intended for reproduction and as a tool for synchronizing estrous in heifers prior to breeding. The commonly used protocol for synchronizing heifers consists of feeding 14% Heifer Cake MGA-0.20 at the daily rate of 5.0 pounds/head for 14 consecutive days followed by a timed prostaglandin injection, heat detection and AI breeding. The timing of the MGA feeding, prostaglandin injection, heat detection and breeding is critical and should be done under the supervision of a veterinarian. For this synchronization protocol to be successful, it is important that heifers consume the recommended amount of 14% Heifer Cake MGA-0.20 consistently each day during the 14-day feeding period. No other supplemental feed should be fed while feeding 14% Heifer Cake MGA-0.20.
14% Cattle Wormer Cake is a range feed containing Safe-Guard® for deworming cattle. Pasture contamination by cattle worms can be reduced by deworming cattle at the right times. A strategic deworming program reduces the parasite burden for an entire pasture season, thus reducing the parasite burden in the herd and maximizing returns on your cattle. 14% Cattle Wormer Cake is an easy and convenient way to deworm cattle, especially when they are on pasture where other deworming methods are not practical. It can be used on cows, bulls, replacement heifers and stocker cattle.
