BASE MIXES

A complete and balanced diet is required in order to achieve optimum performance in starting, growing, back grounding and feedlot cattle. Forages and grains alone cannot supply all the protein, major minerals, trace minerals and vitamins necessary in a complete and balanced ration.

Western Feed Mill’s mineral base mixes are mineral/vitamin supplements designed to be mixed with forages, grains and proteins in order to create grain mixes and complete rations. They are formulated to provide the supplemental minerals, vitamins and feed additives needed for optimum performance. Are products designed for starting, growing and finishing cattle.

START-EM-UP BASE MIX

Start-Em-Up Base Mix is a highly fortified mineral & vitamin supplement designed to help cattle overcome the nutritional stresses associated with weaning, shipping, receiving and processing. Start-Em-Up Base Mix contains specially selected ingredients that help reduce the impact of stress by promoting proper rumen function, stimulating feed intake, enhancing immune response, and restoring lost nutrient reserves.

COMMODITY BALANCER BASE MIX

Commodity Balancer Base Mix is a nutrient dense loose mineral and vitamin supplement formulated for use as a mixing mineral in beef cattle rations, especially those that contain high protein, high phosphorus commodity ingredients such as distiller’s grains, Corn Gluten Feed and Wheat Middlings. The mineral fortification in Commodity Balancer Base Mix compliments that of distiller’s grains and supplies the major minerals, trace minerals and vitamins A, D3 and E needed to balance cattle growing and finishing rations. This supplement is recommended for use in high-roughage growing rations and can be used in high-grain finishing rations under certain conditions. Commodity Balancer Base Mix is low in Sulfur to minimize the risk for PEM.

FEEDLOT BALANCER BASE MIX

Feedlot Balancer Base Mix is a nutrient dense mineral and vitamin supplement formulated for use as a mixing mineral in beef cattle grower and finisher rations, especially high-grain finisher rations that contain significant amounts of high phosphorus commodity ingredients such as distiller’s grains. The mineral fortification in Feedlot Balancer Base Mix compliments commonly use feedlot ration ingredients, and helps ensure that cattle receive the proper balance of all major minerals, especially calcium and phosphorus. Feedlot Balancer Base Mix is also fortified with the trace minerals and vitamins A, D3 and E needed to balance cattle growing and finishing rations. Feedlot Balancer Base Mix is low in Sulfur to minimize the risk for PEM.
